Many people like to go to Crane Pond. All through the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Crane Pond. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Crane Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Housatonic River, and after a long day outdoors Sharon Motor Lodge is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two.

An average amount of rain falls at Crane Pond; June is the month that gets the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Old Drovers Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest, and everyone close by loves skiing at Mohawk Mountain.

take a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Do visit Hilltop Pond next to Crane Pond, it's a stunning lake, and the skiing at Thunder Ridge is pleasant. The peak of East Mountain can be seen from Crane Pond. There's so much
to do here at Crane Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Buck's Rock Camp is a tremendous place for that.
Be careful coming to Crane Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. A pretty lake like Ellis Pond
near Crane Pond is a magnificent place to visit, and Crane Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Taconic State Park Rudd Pond is a nice local campground.
