Drift down the rapids of Roaring Branch in a kayak, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Oregon Trail. So many cool things to do here at Crane Mountain Pond, too good to be true. If you need a place to stay Northwind Lodge is a glorious choice, and camping at Smoke Rise Campsites is always a good experience. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack       Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. The summit of Crane Mountain can be seen from Crane Mountain Pond; Crane Mountain Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Wintergreen Lake Campsite is a magnificent local campground. Do have a look at Little Pond near Crane Mountain Pond, it's a stunning lake, and Paintbed Brook is next to Crane Mountain Pond and is always a pleasure to take a look at.                  This lake is so wonderful. Gore Mountain is a very popular ski area close by, and after a long day outdoors Black Mt Ski Lodge & Motel is a nice location to spend a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Crane Mountain Pond. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Crane Mountain Pond. The amount of rainfall that falls at Crane Mountain Pond is close to the national average; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. So much enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just unbelievable.
