You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sterling Forest if you're here, and there's great hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Cranberry Pond. Not far from Cranberry Pond you stumble on Hell Hole, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful.       Some close by water includes Cranberry Brook, and on a wonderful day you acquire a delightful panorama of Bare Rock Mountain from Cranberry Pond. If you come at the right time of year, Moodna Creek offers some wonderful whitewater, and do stop at Roe Pond, it's a striking lake. You can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Mt. Peter, and a pleasant close by hotel is Econo Lodge Highland Falls. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Popolopen Creek; Cranberry Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Beaver Pond is a magnificent local campground. So many enjoyable things to do here at Cranberry Pond, too great to be true. A perfect place to visit near Cranberry Pond is Deep Hollow; Crystal Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Cranberry Pond is a quite wet place frequently with a lot of rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 70's at Cranberry Pond. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Cranberry Pond temperatures descend to the 10's.
