Since you're here at Cranberry Pond why not take a look at Deep Hollow, and if you come at the right time of year, Moodna Creek offers some pleasant whitewater. Cranberry Pond is a relatively wet place generally with a large amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls through May; February is when it's the driest. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. The slopes of Sterling Forest are so inviting nobody can resist, and here at Cranberry Pond you can spot Bare Rock Mountain. while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Cranberry Pond temperatures sink to the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful.
After a long day outdoors Bear Mountain Bridge Motel is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two; drift down the rapids of Popolopen Creek in a kayak. Stay the night at Sebago Cabins Harriman; there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby
called the Woodtown Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the neighborhood of Cranberry Pond. If you're here at Cranberry Pond, you could go to Cranberry Brook.
