If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cranberry Lake. Go for a hike on the Vernooy Falls Trail, and needless to say, this is a perfect region for folks who like lakes, Ulster Heights Lake is a lake in close proximity. High temperatures at Cranberry Lake all through the summer months are in the 70's, and the night is a bit colder of course, generally in the 50's. Swamps dont sound that magnificent but Pine Swamp right next door to Cranberry Lake is pretty magnificent, and after a long day outdoors VALLEY BROOK INN AND COTTAGES is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Lake is Skyway Campgrounds. Good hiking is available along the Seager West Branch Trail, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Holiday Mountain. Cranberry Lake is a quite wet place commonly with a large amount of rain; May is the month
that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the Kanape Jeep Trail, and a round of golf at nearby Shawangunk Country Club is a great way to kill some time.
This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Beer Kill River - West Branch; Cranberry Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Binyan David is
a pleasant local campground. Sandburg Creek is a delightful whitewater spot near Cranberry Lake; a wonderful close by hotel is Nevele Grande Resort.
