    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cranberry Lake. Go for a hike on the Vernooy Falls Trail, and needless to say, this is a perfect region for folks who like lakes, Ulster Heights Lake is a lake in close proximity. High temperatures at Cranberry Lake all through the summer months are in the 70's, and the night is a bit colder of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime  
   temperatures at Cranberry Lake fall into the 10's. So much cool stuff to do at Cranberry Lake, so little time. Swamps dont sound that magnificent but Pine Swamp right next door to Cranberry Lake is pretty magnificent, and after a long day outdoors VALLEY BROOK INN AND COTTAGES is a tremendous location to spend a night or two.
You're in all probability interested in lakes, Windsor Lake is one of those nearby, and a glorious place to camp here at Cranberry
 
               Lake is Skyway Campgrounds. Good hiking is available along the Seager West Branch Trail, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Holiday Mountain. Cranberry Lake is a quite wet place commonly with a large amount of rain; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.
This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the Kanape Jeep Trail, and a round of golf at nearby Shawangunk Country Club is a great way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Beer Kill River - West Branch; Cranberry Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Binyan David is a pleasant local campground.
Sandburg Creek is a delightful whitewater spot near Cranberry Lake; a wonderful close by hotel is Nevele Grande Resort.
