If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Crab Pond. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Schroon River offers some fine whitewater. There's so much to do here at Crab Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Medcalf Acres Campsite is a brilliant location for that. This lake is so wonderful. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

Cabins is a great place to get some rest, and a lake nearby is Chub Pond. Through the long summer days highs here at Crab Pond get into the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this
place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Crab Pond are in the 0's.
