You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Near Crab Pond you find the Short Swing Trail which is a great hiking trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Schroon Lake Campground is a perfect place to camp. Crab Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Paddling       on Putnam Creek is so much fun, and why not a little side tour to Pyramid Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Long Swing Trail, and camping is available at Medcalf Acres Campsite. Crab Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Adirondack Mountains. Schroon River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby; a tremendous nearby hotel is Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel.                  During the warmest time of the year at Crab Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Crab Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Burge Pond. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Why not stop at a swamp like Glidden Marsh if you're here at Crab Pond, and going for a hike on the Pharoah Mountain Trail is always a nice adventure.
