Beautiful Cotton Lake has much to offer visitors. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Cotton Lake is a wet site that gets a lot of rain; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Middle Branch Little Black Creek is a stream you can explore while here. This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a great swamp; Middle Branch Marsh

Summertime at Cotton Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Burp Lake in close proximity to Cotton Lake is a good location to have a look at, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on West Canada Creek. Whitewater paddling is fine on Black
River, and you can hit the slopes at McCauley Mountain close by. So many enjoyable things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Inns-Herkimer; the Party Trail is a good hiking
trail close by. This location, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. Mad Tom Lake is a pleasant lake in close proximity to Cotton Lake, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail.
This site is peerless, just explore all the fun things to do in the neighborhood of Cotton Lake. Near Cotton Lake you come across the Forty Mountain Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cotton Lake has to offer, you can camp at Adirondack Gateway Campground.
