And that's not all you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Best Western Sunset Inn is a great site to get some rest, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. Near Cotton Lake you find the Forty Mountain Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and the snow is nice at McCauley Mountain. Cotton Lake mostly gets       a great deal of rainfall; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Cotton Lake is a great location to camp, Adirondack Gateway Campground is a great location, and the Party Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Americas Best Inns-Herkimer is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. Any time is a perfect time at                  Cotton Lake if you love the outdoors. West Canada Creek is a glorious whitewater spot in close proximity to Cotton Lake. Lakes? Sure, North Branch Lake is in close proximity. Cotton Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Summertime highs at Cotton Lake usually tend to be in the 70's while night lows are typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Cotton Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cotton Lake has to offer, you can camp at Trail's End Campground, and hey, Middle Branch Little Black Creek is a perfect local stream.
