And that's not all you can do here at Cotters Pond. Cotters Pond is a great place to camp, Medcalf Acres Campsite is a great place, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Alder Pond. The amount of precipitation that falls at Cotters Pond is close to the national average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of       precipitation. Dark Bay is reasonably near Cotters Pond, and the Pharoah Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. A glorious close by hotel is Mountain Pines Motel, and there's nice hiking along the Long Swing Trail. So much amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. If you need a place to stay Blue Ridge Motel is a tremendous choice. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cotters Pond has to offer, you can camp at Schroon                  Lake Campground. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Schroon River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and don't forget to take a good little spree to Paradox Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on The Branch, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Cotters Pond; Peaked Hill Trail is a great local trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. During the summer highs here at Cotters Pond get into the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Cotters Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
