Cossayuna Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Browns Mountain is easily seen from Cossayuna Lake; don't leave Cossayuna Lake without first going for a hike along the Healing Springs Nature Trail. Batten Kill River is a pleasant whitewater spot close       to Cossayuna Lake, and West Mountain is a very popular ski area close at hand. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds is a pleasant location to camp. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area near Cossayuna Lake has to offer. After a long day outdoors Sunshine Inn is a perfect site to spend a night or two; you can hit the slopes at Willard Mountain close by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the                  80's to Cossayuna Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
