You're sure to come across some nice folks from Albany-Schenectady-Troy here; a good nearby hotel is Best Western Rensselaer Inn. For the period of the warm days of summer here at Coopers Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Coopers Pond       dip into the 10's. Lakes? Sure, Moules Lake is around here, and Alps Family Campground is a glorious campground here. Coopers Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Poesten Kill River, and if you came for an overnight stay Dingman's Campgrounds is a perfect place                  to camp. A round of golf at nearby Burden Lake Country Club is a good way to kill some time, and you can hit the slopes at Willard Mountain around here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place.
