If you need a site to stay Mirror Lake Inn is a wonderful choice, and not far from Cooper Kill Pond you'll discover Oncio Pond which is a pretty lake. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. Go for a hike on the Schwartz Trail, and Cooper Kill Pond is not far at all from Plattsburgh. This lake is so wonderful. It's a good idea to stop at Red Brook, it's near Cooper Kill Pond; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount                  Pisgah is relatively near. So much fun stuff to do here at Cooper Kill Pond, too glorious to be true. Cooper Kill Pond is in a good location in the shadow of the Stephenson Range, and Ausable River - West Branch is a glorious whitewater spot close by. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Lake Stevens, and a day on the slopes of Whiteface Mountain is just what you need. Lake Placid Club Lodge is a fine place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Cooper Kill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, North Pole Campground is a glorious place for that. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Summertime highs at Cooper Kill Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's.
