If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Adirondack Mountains. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Glen Creek; do go to Burch Brook if you're here at Coon Pond. While you're here at Coon Pond you can take a hike along the Spectacle Pond Trail, and a lake nearby is Daggett Pond. Gore Mountain has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff; Crazy Creek Campground is a magnificent local campground.       During the summertime at Coon Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Coon Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Coon Pond has it all. And that's not all you can do here at Coon Pond. An afternoon playing golf at Green Mansion Golf Course is always a bliss,                  and West Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Adirondack Mountains. The panorama of Heath Mountain from Coon Pond is wonderful; after a long day outdoors Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. Coon Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Coon Pond there are plenty of people from Glens Falls, needless to say you could also explore Number Nine Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Lake George Resort is a wonderful choice, and Wintergreen Lake Campsite is a perfect campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Oregon Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; there's whitewater on Hudson River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
