Cooks Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Everybody close by loves skiing at Hickory Ski Center, and Evans Pond is an attention-grabbing swamp near Cooks Reservoir. Nearby lakes? Sure, Ireland Vly is close to Cooks Reservoir; Steele Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. Cooks Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains.

There's so much to do here at Cooks Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp Grounds is a splendid spot for that; at Cooks Reservoir you always meet someone from Gloversville. So many amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cooks Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at
Birch Haven, and while you're here and you like golf, you can check out Galway Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the summer months at Cooks Reservoir highs are commonly in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer
temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Cooks Reservoir.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. A tremendous nearby hotel is Four Seasons Motel, and do take a hike on the Oregon Trail.
