Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Lakes are brilliant; Corner Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Comer Pond, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Pisgah while you're here.
That right there is heaps of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. THE HOTEL SARANAC is a great place to get some rest. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Comer Pond; of all the months
in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Whispering woods, and if you need a place to stay Woodlake Inn is a great choice.

Northville Lake Placid Trail
 | 10 miles away Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-... |
