Columbia Lake

I spent my summers on Columbia Lake from the age of 3 until I turned 16. My great uncle Tony Hladik owned a cottage which my family stayed in. My memories from those summers are all great. My parents would have purchased the cottage when he put it on the market but a spiteful Aunt neglected to tell us about it and he assumed we did not want it. It has always been a sore spot that such a wonderful place was let go from the family. I would love to go back there
someday but can find little information about rentals. Any help would be appreciated. 1960-1974 Says Lori

My mom, Iris Dotey Brown, is the niece of Nina and Floyd Davie, which had a small resort, farm and cottages on Columbia
Lake from early 1900's until the 1940's. She has so many wonderful memories of the 1920's and 30'. She is 92 now and relives those early days often. LaVonne Says Iris Dotey Brown

My grandfather, Charles A. Hladik, built one of the first cottages with a guest bungalow and dock in the early 1920's on Columbia Lake. I have a lot of pictures of the lake and surrounding area going back to the 20's and up to the 50's. Says Wesley R. Ciampo
