Go to Colgate Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Any time is a wonderful time at Colgate Lake if you adore the outdoors. Do check out Onteora Pond near Colgate Lake, it's a scenic lake; no need to travel far to have a look at out of the ordinary stuff like Star Rock. For the period of the summertime at Colgate Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Daytime

Here at Colgate Lake you can spot Black Dome, and of course Halsey Brook is a striking stream that is worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. a perfect hiking adventure along the Phoenicia Trail, and if you're a golfer then a fine close by course is Colonial Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Willow Trail; Lake Rip Van Winkle is a nearby lake
that you could take a look at. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing things to do in the Catskill Mountains. Colgate Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and February on the other
hand is the driest. The snow is nice at Hunter Mountain, and after a long day outdoors Hotel Mountain Brook is a fine spot to spend a night or two. A day on the slopes of Windham Mountain is just what you need; why not take a
refreshing hike along the Spruceton Trail. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Catskill Mountains. Doherty's Mountain Campground is a fine local campground; drift down the rapids of Plattekill Creek
in a kayak. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is abundant here in the Catskill Mountains. If you're visiting Colgate Lake from Kingston, you won't be the only one, and if you come at the right time of year, Catskill Creek offers some great whitewater.
