A visit to Colgate Lake is always a good idea. For the period of the warm months at Colgate Lake highs are generally in the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit colder of course, regularly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows through the winter for Colgate Lake tend to be in the 0's. From a rainfall point of view Colgate Lake is a quite typical place; most of the rain falls throughout May, and the driest month of the year is February.

The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Windham Mountain; if you came to camp Doherty's Mountain Campground is a great place to do that. Having a fine time at Colgate Lake is easy. On a delightful day at Colgate Lake you can take a hike along the Willow Trail, and after a long day outdoors Villa Vosilla is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. And that's not all | |

you can do here in the Catskill Mountains. While you're here at Colgate Lake you can take a hike along the Spruceton Trail, and a wonderful spot for whitewater paddling is Plattekill Creek. If the weather is pretty, you obtain a wonderful
view of Black Dome from Colgate Lake, and at Colgate Lake you always meet someone from Kingston. There is a good hiking trail next to Colgate Lake called the Phoenicia Trail, and Halsey Brook is near Colgate Lake and is always
a bliss to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Catskill Creek is a tremendous whitewater spot near Colgate Lake, and Colonial Country Club is a golf course nearby. Hunter Mountain is a very popular ski area around here, and Colgate
Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Torchlight Campsites is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you're hooked on cool geologic highlights, try Star Rock, and dry warm beds await you at High Peak
Motel. So many entertaining things near Colgate Lake, clearly mind-boggling. Colgate Lake is located in the Catskill Mountains.
