What a nice lake Colgate Lake is. All year is a perfect time in the Catskill Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. You simply must have a look at Star Rock since you're here at Colgate Lake, and Catskill Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Colonial Country Club is always a delight, and Colgate Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Doherty's Mountain Campground

Lake Rip Van Winkle is a lake nearby, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Willow Trail. in the Catskill Mountains, just unbelievable. For the period of the summer months highs here at Colgate Lake reach the 70's while night lows are usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter
nights at Colgate Lake are in the 0's. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Plattekill Creek; after a long day outdoors Hotel Mountain Brook is a delightful place to spend a night or two. This
lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Hunter Mountain, and here at Colgate Lake you can see Black Dome. If the weather is splendid here at Colgate Lake, you can go for a hike along the Spruceton Trail,
and you can stay the night at Torchlight Campsites. Colgate Lake really is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. There is a great hiking trail next to Colgate Lake called the Phoenicia Trail, and lovely scenery and
magnificent skiing is what you get at Windham Mountain. If you need a site to stay Hotel Vienna is a great choice; do have a look at Halsey Brook while you're here at Colgate Lake. The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
What a location this is for outdoors people. You're almost certainly into lakes, Onteora Pond is one of those nearby; Colgate Lake is not far at all from Kingston.
