A visit to Lake Colden is always a good idea. Lake Colden is located in the Adirondack Mountains. A typical amount of rain falls here at Lake Colden; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. The Indian Pass Trail offers hiking at its best, and while you're here, do take a trip to Beaver Point.

| | has to offer, you can camp at Adirondak Loj, and Hanging Spear Falls is always fun to check out. After a long day outdoors Prague Inn Stes and Cottages is a wonderful site to spend a night or two; Mount Pisgah is a good local ski area. Summertime highs at Lake Colden frequently tend to be in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Colden.

Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Whiteface Mountain is close to Lake Colden, and Ausable River - West Branch has a
tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Whispering Pines Campground, and Lake Colden is right by the Hopkins Trail. Whitewater paddling is great on Boreas River - Upper, and close
by Avalanche Pass is a great location to go.
What a location this is for outdoors folks. It's a pleasant idea to take a look at Cold Brook, it's close to Lake Colden. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Adirondack Mountains
rules! Courtyard Lake Placid is a perfect place to get some rest, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Van Hoevenberg Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Avalanche Lake is a lake that's near Lake Colden; at Lake Colden you can observe Algonquin Peak.
