New York has many beautiful lakes and Lake Colby is one of them. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Colby. The top of Dewey Mountain is easily seen from Lake Colby, and Lake Colby is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Pioneer Village is a glorious local campground. Whitewater paddling is great on Ausable River - West Branch, and if you came to camp Donaldson George A and Sons is a splendid site to do that. Lake Colby is located in the Adirondack Mountains. on the Indian Pass Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Whiteface Mountain, and hiking along the Schwartz Trail is splendid fun. Lake Colby gets a great deal of water; August is
the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Lake Colby generally tend to be in the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with
highs in the 20's; night lows at Lake Colby through the wintertime ordinarily dip into the 0's. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. THE HOTEL SARANAC is a delightful location to get some rest; Lake Colby is right by the McKenzie Pond Trail.
