Paddling on Schroon River is so much fun; swamps are attention-grabbing places and Desolate Swamp right next door to Coffee Pond is no exception. And that's not all the things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you get bored of Coffee Pond, you could also take a look at close by Goose Pond, and get wet paddling on Schroon       River. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. From a precipitation point of view Coffee Pond is a relatively normal place; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Medcalf Acres Campsite; don't leave Coffee Pond without first going for a hike along the Pharoah Mountain Trail. Town of Schroon Golf Club is a fine golf course close by, and why not camp at                  Schroon Lake Campground while you're here at Coffee Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The Sagamore is a great spot to get some rest, and a glorious view of picturesque Carey Hill is available. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Coffee Pond, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Coffee Pond. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun stuff just keep reading.
