This lake is so wonderful. Gore Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Oregon Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The annual rainfall here at Cod Pond is about average; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cod Pond has to offer, you can camp at       Northhampton Beach Recreation, and as expected Shanty Brook flows through this region. Paddling on Georgia Brook is so much fun, and Cod Pond is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Rainbows End is a delightful place to camp nearby. For the period of the summer at Cod Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 20's, and overnight                  lows at Cod Pond through the wintertime regularly dip into the 0's. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Cod Pond. This is a wonderful area for folks who like lakes. Eagle Pond is a lake in the vicinity, and the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Adirondack Mountains. Lakes are delightful; Shiras Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Cod Pond, and get wet paddling on Sacandaga River - East Branch. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Adirondack Mountains.
