This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is fine on Sacandaga River - East Branch, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Shanty Brook. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Adirondack Mountains. The amount of rainfall that falls at Cod Pond is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Gore       Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and going for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is always a pleasant adventure. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Cod Pond. A glorious spot to camp here at Cod Pond is Northhampton Beach Recreation, and Georgia Brook has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. During the summer at Cod Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to                  the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Cod Pond drop into the 0's. Cod Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. All year is a perfect time in the Adirondack Mountains if you love the outdoors. You get a delightful sight of Corner Mountain from Cod Pond; close by you discover the Oregon Trail which is a great hiking trail.
