At Cobalt Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs       in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Cobalt Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Pegs Point is around here and always tremendous to have a look at. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Cobalt Lake. Hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is nice fun, and if you come at the right time of year, Wappinger Creek offers some pleasant whitewater. Cobalt Lake is a wet spot that gets a lot                  of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. K O A-hudson Valley Campground is a glorious campground nearby; since you're here, you could also explore charming Wappinger Lake. A delightful close by hotel is Hampton Inn & Suites Poughkeepsie, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Stillwell Lake Trail.
