You'll meet a lot of folks from Ogdensburg-Massena here, and camping is available at Higley Flow State Park. A delightful lake like South Colton Reservoir near Close Pond is a nice site to go to. For the duration of the months of summer here at Close Pond, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the       50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Close Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Dead Creek flows through this neighborhood, and lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Five Falls Reservoir. Get yourself into a kayak and hit St. Regis River - West Branch, and Super 8 Massena, NY is a great place to get some rest. One of the main traits of the surroundings of Close Pond is French                  Hill, and if you came for an overnight stay Santa Clara Riverside RV Park and Campground is a magnificent place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Raquette River in a kayak; not far from here you can enjoy the trees of Saint Lawrence State Forest. From a precipitation point of view Close Pond is a relatively normal spot; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while January is generally the driest month. Any time is a good time at Close Pond if you adore the outdoors.
