All the water falling down from the sky makes Clear Pool a wet spot; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. If you came for an overnight stay Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a wonderful place to camp; Le Chambord is a nice site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. From       Clear Pool you acquire a perfect vista of Nimham Mount, and dry warm beds await you at Inn at Arbor Ridge and Cnf Ctr. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in close proximity to Clear Pool. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Wappinger Creek, and why not take a little trip to Bailey Brook since you're here. You're sure to encounter some great people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown here; Boyd Corners Reservoir is a great lake close by. This                  lake is so wonderful. On a magnificent day at Clear Pool you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and playing golf is lots of fun at Mahopac Golf Club. Camp Kiwi is a good local campground, and lakes are such serene spots, why not check out China Pond. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Clear Pool, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's.
