If you are in Essex county it's always a good idea to stop by Clap Pond. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Clap Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Clap Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. | | Adirondack Mountains. Camping at Clap Pond is pleasant fun, Shearer's Riverside Campsite is a pleasant local campground. Lakes are wonderful; Brother Ponds is a lake that's close to Clap Pond.
You simply should go for the Adirondack Mountains. You get a perfect vista of Catamount Mountain from Clap Pond; there are swamps here too, Deadwater Pond is close by. If you need a location to stay Blue Ridge Motel is a great choice; why not camp at Paradise Pines Camping | |

Resort while you're here at Clap Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Ash Craft Brook is a stream you can go to while here, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Peaked Hill Trail.
This
lake is so wonderful. On a fine day at Clap Pond you can take a hike along the Long Swing Trail, and great skiing awaits you at Whiteface Mountain. The annual rainfall here at Clap Pond is about average; the month with most of the
rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Dry warm beds await you at Keene Valley Ausable Inn, and there are some fine whitewater spots on The Branch. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy
this site. If you come at the right time of year, Schroon River offers some great whitewater, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Weston Trail.
