If you need a location to stay Adirondack Park Motel is a good choice, and one of the principal characteristics of the surroundings of Chub Pond is First Brother. So much entertaining stuff to do at Chub Pond, so little time. Camping is available at Hidden Pond Campsite, and hiking along the Short Swing Trail is wonderful fun. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Sunset Mt       Lodge, and going for a hike along the Spectacle Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. The yearly rainfall here at Chub Pond is about average; the month with most of the rain is August while January is usually the driest month. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling                  is magnificent on Schroon River, and the wonderful folks of Glens Falls like to hang out close by. That right there is lots of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. If you're here at Chub Pond, you could go to Red Fin Brook, and Chub Pond is not the only site nearby, Brindle Pond is a nearby lake. For the period of the days of summer at Chub Pond highs are generally in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Chub Pond tend to be in the 0's.
