Chub Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Chub Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Chub Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Man, is there a load of amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Camping is available at Pine Lake Campground and RV Park, and dry warm beds await you at Johnstown/Gloversville

You'll find a gorgeous lake called Good Luck Lake near Chub Lake, and get wet paddling on Piseco Outlet. For the duration of the warm months at Chub Lake highs are generally in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. this place. On a delightful day you get a sight of Chub Lake Mountain from Chub Lake, and soar down the rapids of Sacandaga River - West Branch in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Nick Stoner Municipal
Golf Course is always a joy. Do pop by Trout Lake close to Chub Lake, it's a charming lake; Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a brilliant place to get some rest. Why not camp at Campsite since you're here at Chub Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Chub Lake; Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is a fine local trail.

Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike.... |
