Beautiful Choate Pond has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; get soaked paddling on Popolopen Creek. If you came to camp Beaver Pond is a nice place to do that, and hey, Caney Brook is a perfect local stream. All through the warm months, highs usually are in the 80's at Choate Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Choate Pond? Beech Hill Pond is in the vicinity, and Choate Pond is not far at all from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown. Choate Pond is a relatively wet place regularly with a lot of precipitation; during July this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
