China Pond commonly gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls all through May while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Inn at Arbor Ridge and Cnf Ctr is a splendid place to get some rest, and soar down the rapids of Tenmile in a kayak. That right       there is heaps already, but it continues; China Pond has it all. China Pond is not the only site nearby, Barrett Pond is a nearby lake, and you can go for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant nearby hotel is Le Chambord, and paddling on Wappinger Creek is so much fun. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to China Pond. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter                  come with highs in the 30's while China Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. Bailey Brook flows through this vicinity; one of the main features of the surroundings of China Pond is Hitchcock Hill. A day on the slopes of Thunder Ridge is just what you need; camping at Camp Kiwi is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful.
