| | Gotta ski! Gore Mountain is a great spot to do that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Indian River. From a rain point of view Cheney Pond is a relatively common place; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. You absolutely ought to go for Cheney Pond. Cedar Pond Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and there's glorious hiking along the Indian Pass Trail. Good hiking | |

Northville Lake Placid Trail
 | 15 miles away Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-... |
