Sure, First Reservoir is next to Cheesecote Pond, and beaches are great and New Sebago Beach is no exception. Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Ramapo River, and if you came for an overnight stay Sebago Cabins Harriman is a brilliant location to camp. Summertime highs at Cheesecote Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend       down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows at Cheesecote Pond through the wintertime generally plunge into the 10's. At Cheesecote Pond you can catch a sight of Cheesecote Mountain, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Sterling Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side visit to Horse Chock Brook; swamps don’t sound that good but Grape Swamp close to Cheesecote Pond is quite good. This lake is so wonderful.                  Camping is available at Beaver Pond, and after a long day outdoors Rockland Motel is a good spot to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Popolopen Creek; Minisceongo Golf Club is a golf course nearby. Near Cheesecote Pond you find the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Old Sebago Beach. The Woodtown Trail is a fine hiking trail right next door to Cheesecote Pond; if you yearn for a little side tour, try File Factory Hollow. Really great skiing awaits you at Mt. Peter. Man, is there a heap of fun things to do in the neighborhood of Cheesecote Pond. If you need a spot to stay Stony Point Center Pcusa is a brilliant choice, and going for a hike on the Breakneck Ridge Trail is always a magnificent adventure.
