Chase Lake is always a pleasure to visit. There are nice spots to explore along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and Campsite is a great local campground. Having a good time at Chase Lake is painless. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a nice location to spend a night or two; a lake nearby is Mud Lake. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake

Dry warm beds await you at Johnstown/Gloversville Super 8 Motel; get soaked paddling on Holmes Lake Outlet. Chase Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Through the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are | |

in the 80's at Chase Lake; the nighttime is slightly colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Chase Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter
nights. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Chase Lake is not the only place close by, Racker Vly is a close by lake, and if you're stopping by from Gloversville, you won't be the only one. Chase Lake is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains.

Buckhorn Lake
 | 12 miles away Buckhorn Lake is a private Association Lake located 2 miles north of Unadilla, New York (in Otsego County). Very friendly towns folk and this lake holds the New York State Record for a Large Mouth Bass caught in 1994. The lake is fed by many underground springs but is not ery deep. Makes for a lovely, though short drive around it.... |

Nine Corner Lake
 | 13 miles away Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike.... |
