All through the summertime months at Lake Charlotte highs are generally in the 70's; the night is a tad colder of course, usually in the 50's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Near Lake Charlotte you discover the Forty Mountain       Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and a brilliant close by hotel is Crest Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at McCauley Mountain in close proximity; there are magnificent locations to look at along the Stone Dam Trail. Lake Charlotte gets a lot of water; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. You'll meet a lot of folks from Utica-Rome here; if you need a spot to stay Grant Hotel is a great choice.                  This lake is so wonderful. Black River is a nice whitewater spot near Lake Charlotte; of course Big Brook flows through this neighborhood. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. Going for a hike on the Party Trail is always a pleasant adventure; Lake Gay is a great lake close by. Just can't get enough of Lake Charlotte. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Woods Valley, and Lake Charlotte is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Trail's End Campground is a splendid local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains.
