    Why not stop by Lake Champlain if you're passing through these parts. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike on the West Shore Trail is always a good adventure; camping is available at Port Kent Campsite Office. You can run the rapids of Ausable River close to Lake Champlain, and camping at Camp Skyland is always a delightful experience. For the period of the summer months highs here at Lake Champlain reach the  
   80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lake Champlain.
Lake Champlain is a good site of normal precipitation; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month is January. Lake Champlain is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Salmon River
 
               is a pleasant whitewater spot near Lake Champlain.
This lake is so wonderful. There are delightful spots to discover along the Southern Tip Trail, and a great close by hotel is Courtyard by Marriott Burlington Harbor. This place is peerless, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do right next door to Lake Champlain. At Lake Champlain you always meet someone from Burlington-South Burlington; you can go for a hike on the Island Farm Nature Trail. If you want a little side tour, try Colchester Reef, and if you need a place to stay Hilton Burlington is a good choice.
