     New York has many beautiful lakes and Lake Champlain is one of them. A typical amount of rain falls here at Lake Champlain; August is when you get the most rain here; January is when it's the driest. During the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Lake Champlain. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at  
   Lake Champlain dip into the 0's. All year is a good time in the Adirondack Mountains if you adore the outdoors.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard by Marriott Burlington Harbor, and hiking along the Southern Tip Trail is perfect fun. Hilton Burlington is a fine spot to get some rest; a great place close by is Colchester Reef. Any time is a great time at Lake Champlain if you adore the outdoors. If you came for an overnight stay
 
               Port Kent Campsite Office is a wonderful place to camp; there are some good whitewater spots on Ausable River.
So much exciting stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too brilliant to be true. Camping is available at Camp Skyland, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Island Farm Nature Trail. Lake Champlain is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Take a hike on the West Shore Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Salmon River.
