Lake Champion gets a typical amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. All our national parks are splendid places to have a look at, and Delaware National Scenic River is no exception, and if you need a spot to stay Nolan's River Inn Motel is a delightful choice. Whitewater paddling is not       for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Delaware River; if you get bored of Lake Champion you could also stop at close by Beaver Pond. Very striking scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Holiday Mountain, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Peenpack Trail. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Mongaup River offers some pleasant whitewater; hiking along the Schiff                  Trail is splendid fun. Why not camp at Kittatinny Campgrounds while you're here at Lake Champion, and after a long day outdoors Eldred Preserve Resort is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. Throughout the summer months at Lake Champion temperatures are frequently in the 70's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. During the winter highs are generally in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Champion temperatures drop to the 10's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area close to Lake Champion has to offer.
