Lakes are good; Little Sherman Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Center Pond; get covered with water paddling on Boreas River. The Van Hoevenberg Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near Center Pond; unsurprisingly, this is a wonderful area for people who like lakes, Barnes Pond is a lake close at hand. Camping at Smoke Rise Campsites is always a glorious       experience, and you can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Gore Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The warmest time of the year at Center Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Center Pond. Center Pond truly is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise.                  A great place to camp here at Center Pond is Ideal Campsites, and paddling on Boreas River - Upper is so much fun. That right there is loads of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. On a wonderful day at Center Pond you can take a hike along the Dividing Ridge Trail, and the panorama of pretty Green Mountain is splendid. This lake is so wonderful. Courtyard Lake Placid is a good location to get some rest, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Elk Lake Marcy Trail.
