Go to Cellar Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at McCauley Mountain since you're here. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day it's a pleasant idea to spend the day at Silver Beach; a perfect location for whitewater paddling is Moose River - South Branch.

While you're here at Cellar Pond you can take a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail; from Cellar Pond you get a wonderful panorama of Bradley Mountain. Summertime highs at Cellar Pond typically tend to be in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Highs through
the wintertime are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Cellar Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. The Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near Cellar Pond; Raquette River is a perfect
whitewater spot close by. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Cellar Pond is a tremendous site to visit for more than one day, Tioga Point State Campground is a tremendous site to camp nearby, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Northville Lake Placid Trail.
