Catfish Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Sebago Cabins Harriman is a pleasant local campground; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Highland Falls is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. Any time is a wonderful time at Catfish Pond if you love the outdoors. The Garrison Golf Club is a fine golf course nearby, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If

| | you come at the right time of year, Moodna Creek offers some perfect whitewater, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Woodtown Trail. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Reeves Pond, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail. to do here at Catfish Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Pond is a great place for that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Popolopen Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is The Thayer Hotel,
and West Branch Canopus Creek is close to Catfish Pond and is always a diversion to pop by. You can see Canopus Hill from Catfish Pond. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Thunder Ridge if you're here, and
not far from Catfish Pond you'll hit upon Loch Lyall which is a pretty lake. Through the summer months highs here at Catfish Pond reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs
are usually in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Catfish Pond temperatures dip to the 10's.
