    Catamount Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There are splendid locations to explore along the Sixmile Creek Trail, and Raquette River is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Catamount Pond without first going for a hike along the Big Deer Pond Trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bog River. You just can't picture the amount  
   of outdoors fun stuff the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. You're sure to stumble upon some fine people from Malone here, and you can stay the night at Blue Jay Campsites.
A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Catamount Pond; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Catamount Pond. Going for a
 
               hike on the Ash Pond Trail is always a great adventure. Do explore Boottree Pond near Catamount Pond, it's a picturesque lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Catamount Pond has to offer, you can camp at Robinson's Iga.
This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Catamount Pond get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Catamount Pond throughout the wintertime mostly dip into the 0's.
