You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Cat Pond. Take a side visit to Indian Brook, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Popolopen Creek, and Econo Lodge Highland Falls is a glorious site to get some rest. All the water falling down from the sky makes Cat Pond a wet location;       May is when you get the most rain here while February is commonly the driest month. Why not camp at Beaver Pond since you're here at Cat Pond; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Moodna Creek. Skiing at Sterling Forest is one of those things you just have to do. While you're here at Cat Pond you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and if you need a spot to stay The Thayer Hotel is a magnificent choice. This lake                  is so wonderful. If you're here at Cat Pond and you like golf, you can stop at The Garrison Golf Club; on a great day you can take a hike along the Woodtown Trail. At Cat Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Cat Pond dip into the 10's. Dales Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit; Sebago Cabins Harriman is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
