Cat Pond is a splendid place to camp, Blue Jay Campsites is a splendid place; after a long day outdoors Park Motel is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Point is a nice spot to get       some rest, and drift down the rapids of St. Regis River - Middle Branch in a kayak. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Cat Pond reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Cat Pond. The amount of rain that falls at Cat Pond is close to the national average; August is the wettest month with most rain; January is when it's the                  driest. Cat Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. So much cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time.
