Abram S Hewitt State Forest is a forest next to Cascade Lake that you can go to; in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ramapo River. At Cascade Lake during the summer months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Cascade Lake. The annual rainfall here at Cascade Lake is about average; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
