Decatur Creek is a splendid local stream, and a wonderful site for whitewater paddling is Center Brook/Middle Brook. Kortright Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot right next door to Caryl Lake, and you're sure to stumble upon some friendly folks from Oneonta here. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Christy's Beaver Spring Lake Campsites, and 42 Montgomery B and       B is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Caryl Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Caryl Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place!
