If you are in this part of New York make sure to pay a visit to Carter Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Carter Pond is not far at all from Glens Falls, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at West Mountain if you're here. The warmest time of the year at Carter Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Carter Pond.

gets a great deal of water; throughout the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is commonly the driest month. There's whitewater on Batten Kill River for all you adrenaline kick people, and you can stay the
night at Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. A quick visit to Livingston Brook in the neighborhood of Carter Pond is a perfect idea, and a pleasant close by hotel is Six Flags Great Escape Lodge.
