Carter Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Dry warm beds await you at Sunshine Inn, and if you're visiting from Glens Falls, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little journey to Livingston Brook since you're here at Carter Pond. A perfect place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Carter Pond is Batten Kill River; Carter Pond is right by the Healing Springs Nature Trail.

At Carter Pond throughout the warm months highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are generally in the 20's, and
night lows in the 0's for Carter Pond. Carter Pond commonly gets much rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. This is a pleasant region for people who like lakes. McDougall Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and skiing at West Mountain is one of those things you just must do.
