During the long summer days here at Carter Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Carter Pond fall into the 0's. Camp Dippikill Office is a magnificent campground nearby, obviously you could also stop at Long Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Yep, outdoors       cool stuff truly is abundant here in the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike along the Oregon Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and what would winter be without some skiing at Gore Mountain. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Dividing Ridge Trail. Carter Pond gets a normal amount of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Moxham Mountain can be made out from Carter Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Smoke Rise Campsites is a brilliant local campground, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Elk Lake Marcy Trail.
