Have a great hiking adventure along the Indian Pass Trail, and if you get bored of Carter Pond you could also stop at close by Blue Ledge Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Carter Pond is right by the Oregon Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Hudson River. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cedar River, and one of the overriding traits of the surroundings       of Carter Pond is Bell Mountain. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. Blue Ledge is a glorious place to pop by while in the neighborhood; Carter Pond is not the only site close by, Whortleberry Pond is a close by lake. Hiking along the Northville Lake Placid Trail is magnificent fun, and hey, Gotta ski right? Gore Mountain is a great site to do that. So much exciting stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time.                  Why not camp at Cedar Pond Campground while you're here at Carter Pond; why not have a look at nearby Bell Mountain Brook while you're here at Carter Pond. All through the days of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Carter Pond. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's, and night lows during the winter for Carter Pond tend to be in the 0's. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
