Carpenter Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. There is a perfect hiking trail in the vicinity of Carpenter Pond called the Silver Lake Mountain Trail; you can never get enough of the great skiing at Mount Pisgah. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. If the weather is tremendous here at Carpenter Pond, you can go for a hike along the McKenzie Pond Trail, and if you come       at the right time of year, Saranac River - North Branch offers some good whitewater. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. Swiss Acres Inn is a good spot to get some rest, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Schwartz Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Whiteface Mountain. If you get bored of Carpenter Pond, you could also take a look at close by Daigneau                  Pond; the peak of Baker Hill can be observed from Carpenter Pond. Summertime highs at Carpenter Pond usually tend to be in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Carpenter Pond. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great world it would be. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Saranac River, and if you came for an overnight stay Pioneer Village is a great place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous close by hotel is The Whiteface Lodge, and why not camp at Douglas Corp Of Silver Lake while you're here at Carpenter Pond.
