Daigneau Pond is a lake close at hand, and if you need a site to stay The Whiteface Lodge is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Carpenter Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Douglas Corp Of Silver Lake is a delightful local campground, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the McKenzie Pond Trail. A delightful place to camp here at Carpenter                  Pond is Pioneer Village; the Schwartz Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. Carpenter Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; August is when you get the most rain here while February is usually the driest month. Carpenter Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day you get a panorama of Baker Hill from Carpenter Pond, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Whiteface Mountain is relatively near. Through the summertime months at Carpenter Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Carpenter Pond. That right there is a lot of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all.
