The beauty of Caroga Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Caroga Lake, you could also visit striking West Caroga Lake. Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a great local campground; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a fine choice. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Holmes

If the weather is great here at Caroga Lake, you can go for a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and Caroga Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby. could go to, and why not camp at Campsite if you're here at Caroga Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Caroga Lake a quite wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; February meanwhile is the driest
month. Through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Caroga Lake. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter
at Caroga Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Sheeley Mountain is scenic and can be spotted from Caroga Lake; there are plenty of folks from Amsterdam here at Caroga Lake.

Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike.... |
