     The beauty of Caroga Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Caroga Lake, you could also visit striking West Caroga Lake. Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a great local campground; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a fine choice. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Holmes  
   Lake Outlet, and next to Caroga Lake you hit upon a golf course called Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course.
If the weather is great here at Caroga Lake, you can go for a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and Caroga Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great earth it would be. Getting to Frie Flow from Caroga
 
               Lake is painless; Johnstown/Gloversville Super 8 Motel is a nice site to get some rest.
All the outdoors fun things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. East Caroga Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and why not camp at Campsite if you're here at Caroga Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Caroga Lake a quite wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. Through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Caroga Lake. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Caroga Lake temperatures fall to the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Sheeley Mountain is scenic and can be spotted from Caroga Lake; there are plenty of folks from Amsterdam here at Caroga Lake.

Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but  all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike....

Buckhorn Lake is a private Association Lake located 2 miles north of Unadilla, New York (in Otsego County). Very friendly towns folk and this lake holds the New York State Record for a Large Mouth Bass caught in 1994. The lake is fed by many underground springs but is not ery deep. Morehouse Lake is completely on private property under the ownership of the Morehouse Lake Club which was founded in 1889 and also has within it's borderline Barto Lake and Mud Pond. The outlet stream is called Little Goldmine and runs southeasterly into the East Canada Creek near Powley Place....
