Put some time aside to spend at Hanging Rock Falls since you're here at Cape Pond, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Seager West Branch Trail. There's whitewater on Beer Kill River - West Branch for all you adrenaline people; the Kanape Jeep Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. If you're visiting Cape Pond from Kingston, you won't be the only one, and       on a great day you can take a hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Cape Pond a wet site; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Rondout Creek, and dry warm beds await you at VALLEY BROOK INN AND COTTAGES. This lake is so wonderful. Sunshine Acres Camp & Conferen is a glorious local campground. There's just no way                  somebody can get bored here at Cape Pond. Skyway Campgrounds is a delightful campground nearby; Nevele Grande Resort is a great place to get some rest. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Cape Pond get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Cape Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
