Why not camp at Skyway Campgrounds while you're here at Cape Pond, and you can run the rapids of Beer Kill River - West Branch. Any time is a pleasant time at Cape Pond if you like the outdoors. For you golfers we recommend nearby Shawangunk Country Club, and nearby you find the Vernooy Falls Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. A wonderful place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood       of Cape Pond is Rondout Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Seager West Branch Trail. Summertime highs at Cape Pond typically tend to be in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 20's; overnight lows in the 10's for Cape Pond. It's always good to check out Hanging Rock Falls, and after a long day outdoors VALLEY BROOK INN AND COTTAGES is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.                  At Cape Pond you always meet someone from Kingston. This lake is so wonderful. Nevele Grande Resort is a nice place to get some rest; going for a hike on the Kanape Jeep Trail is always a good adventure.
