Ashbaugh Hill is clearly visible from Canisteo Reservoir. Lakes are good; Hornell Reservoir Number One is a lake that's next to Canisteo Reservoir. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Hornell Reservoir Number Three, and Canaseraga Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. Canisteo Reservoir       gets a typical amount of precipitation; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Swain in the vicinity. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Canisteo Reservoir has it all. A round of golf at nearby Twin Hickory Golf Club is a wonderful way to kill some time; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Hornell is                  a perfect site to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Canisteo Reservoir through the summertime months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's while Canisteo Reservoir overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Cunningham Creek from Canisteo Reservoir is simple; whitewater paddling is nice on Canisteo River.
