Going for a hike along the Party Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; if you come at the right time of year, Moose River - South Branch offers some brilliant whitewater. Canachagala Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Canachagala Lake has to offer, you can camp at OLD Forge Camping Resort, and       First Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Adirondack Mountains. A lake nearby is Sylvan Ponds, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at McCauley Mountain if you're here. Canachagala Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is ordinarily the driest month. There's                  so much to do here at Canachagala Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a perfect site for that; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Black River - South Branch. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Adirondack Mountains. Canachagala Mountain is striking and can be spotted from Canachagala Lake, and do take a hike on the Twin Lakes Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Little Falls, and hiking along the Stone Dam Trail is good fun. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Canachagala Lake get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Canachagala Lake.
